Missed Connection String once upgrad power BI server from Jan 2023 to Sep 2023
Hello Team,
Once we upgrad our power BI server from Jan 2023 to Sep 2023. Most of the published report missed the connection sring(credential did not missed) and loose the data refresh from schedule.
If any one face the same issue please let me know the solutions.
Microsoft Petebro How can we get this resolve. Please suggest

from which version of power bi desktop were these reports published?
These report published from Jan 2023 only and some report may be older than Jan 2023. We have more than 200 report and facing issue in most of them.

Please doublecheck from which version of Power BI Desktop RS are these reports published, be sure about version of Power BI Desktop RS (date of publishing is not relevant). Also be sure about RS edition.
Power BI RS is compatible with Power BI Desktop RS with same version and two version backward. If you are running Power BI RS Sep 2023, is there declared compatibility for reports published from Power BI Desktop version Jan 2023, May 2023 and Sep 2023.
If these reports are published from Power BI Desktop RS Jan, May or Sep 2023, I'm not able to reproduce, and I do not know about this issue (I'm upgraded Jan>May>Sep without issues), and best way will be rise support ticket to MS.
If these reports are published from older versions of from non-RS version, please try re-publish from supported version.

It is possible that your reports are old and the server has been recently updated, so it is recommended that you can re-upload your reports!

Anonymous we have more than 200 reports and its not possible to upload one by one.... But question is why it happened, Is it Bug in product?

If a new version of the report server is running an older version of the report, the report will not be automatically refreshed. The data displayed in the report will remain based on the old version until a manual refresh is triggered
