Migrating Existing SSRS Report Server to Power BI Report Server (On Premise)

Hi,

We are planning to migrate our existing TFS SSRS report server to Power BI Report server on premise. (TFS 2018)

Couple of questions :

  1. What would be the best strategy to migrate all reports. We have 200+ reports under all TFS collections and projects.
  2. TFS SSRS reports are generic and using @ReportFolder they determine under which 'Folder' a report is placed and filter queries according to that. What would be an alternative for this on Power BI report server ? Is there any way using that a Power BI report can say under which folder it’s placed and what filters needs to apply by default ?

Any help on this would be appreciated.

Thanks !

Hi 🙂

1. Try this powershell module to import/export reports: https://www.powershellgallery.com/packages/ReportingServicesTools/0.0.5.0
