On the newest Power BI Desktop for Report Server, I am able to connect to a Sharepoint Online list, using my Microsoft account.
I deployed this to our Report Server and there is no way to use my Microsoft account to connect, so it will not be able to be automatically refreshed.
How can I do this? I don't see any way to do it.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Unfortunately there is no way to schedule a refresh for a Sharepoint Online List - you just have to refresh in desktop and upload it. It's listed here https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/data-sources as not supporting scheduled refresh.

Stinko! This HAS to change. Stupid to keep it out.

It would be nice, but unfortunately I think the bulk of Microsoft's efforts in supporting cloud based data sources or hybrid cloud / on-prem data is going into the PowerBI.com service.
