Maximum Breakdown in Waterfall Chart

Is there a possibility to control the maxium breakdown in waterfall chart?Basically I want end user to choose number of breakdowns they need.

I am able to do it using Rankx however it is  not 100% right approach as it filters the records which I don't want.
