Hello there,
I used the standard matrix visual in the Power BI Report Server and implemented my desired design as shown in the attached image (Pic 1). However, when I publish it to the Report Server, it doesn’t look the same as it does in the desktop application (Pic2) .
Thanks a lot!
I faced ths similar issue and my matrix style was Sparse. I tried changing it to Tabular from Outline and it worked for me.
Hi @keyurd107
Thanks for your reply, I did your suggested idea but it did not work and the problem persists.
Hi,@MahsaTMahsa .I am glad to help you.
According to your screenshot, your reports do appear differently on Report Server than on Power BI Desktop (RS). To further diagnose and resolve this issue, you can try the following suggestions:
Check visual object settings: Make sure that the matrix visual object settings on Power BI Desktop (RS) and Report Server are identical.
1.Update version: Make sure you are using the latest version of both Power BI Desktop and Report Server, sometimes version differences can cause display problems. report Server versions need to be consistent and generally backward compatible: the same version of report server can render the previous older version of Power BI Desktop (RS). Desktop (RS) pbix files, but for reports produced by newer Desktop (RS) applications, there may be problems displaying some visual objects due to outdated versions of Power BI Report Server.
If possible, please test if you can Publish the problem report to Power BI Service (cloud server) to see if the same layout issue occurs, as a way to check if there is a problem with the design of the report itself or a problem with the report server, and to narrow down the scope of the problem screening.
2.Check your browser compatibility: Try viewing the report in a different browser to see if there are any display differences.
3.Try clearing your cache: Clear your browser's cache or view the report in incognito mode to avoid caching issues affecting the display.
4.Try to modify the layout of the Power BI Desktop, see whether the save to the report server after the change, about Power BI Report Server before the existence of an issue on the matrix layout, has been resolved, you can try to modify the layout of the matrix type, see whether it can be solve the problem.
You can try my suggestions above to see if the problem is solved, and if possible, please provide the version number you are using (Power BI Desktop(RS) & Report server) and other screenshots of the report rendering that do not contain sensitive data, so that we can quickly locate your problem.
Here is the official documentation and issue, hope you find it helpful!
