Matrix Format Changes When Published to Power BI Report Server

We recently upgraded to May 2024 for Power BI Report Server and we're running into a very weird problem. Maxtrixes are not allowing us to use the Tabular or Outline formatting when published. They loook fine in desktop, but once on the server, they look like the default Matrix layout. Example Below:

How it looks in desktop:

How it looks on the Server:

This is the desktop software version:

And this is the RS version:

Please help! This is driving us crazy!

1 ACCEPTED SOLUTION

Do we know if this is on the roadmap to be fixed? This layout used to work before the May 2024 update.

If anyone else is looking at this topic, as a workaround we are currently using January 2024 Report Server desktop app and using the old "stepped layout" option with the May 2024 server. This does work, but it seems ridiculous to take this option away in the May 2024 desktop, and replace it with an option that DOES NOT WORK.

Hi, @InTheDark

After my testing, the current tabular layout is not currently supported in Report Server:

Hi, @InTheDark

Thanks for sharing the alternative solution. After my testing, it appreciates the alternative solution you shared. After my testing, it does work:

This is a known issue at the moment. If there is any progress on the current issue, I will post it here.
