Map visual not loading on PowerBI Report Server

Hi,

I'm currently working on a PowerBI dashboard and all the charts work on the Power BI Desktop for Report Server (September 2022 Version) but when we upload it to the report server, only the map chart would not load. We get the "Repeated indices found in GroupBy or Projections" error. The Power BI Report Server is running on Version: 1.15.8300.38452 (September 2022)

Hi @drewtm ,

It sounds like you are experiencing an issue with the map chart in your Power BI dashboard when you try to view it on the report server. The "Repeated indices found in GroupBy or Projections" error can occur when there is a problem with the data being used to populate the chart, or with the way the chart is being rendered.

There are a few things you can try to resolve this issue:

  • Check the data being used to populate the chart: Make sure that the data being used to populate the chart does not have any repeated indices or duplicate values. If it does, try removing the duplicates or correcting the data.
  • Check the chart configuration: Make sure that the chart configuration is correct, and that all necessary fields are properly mapped.
  • Check for updates: If you are using the latest version of Power BI Desktop and the report server, try checking for updates to see if there are any fixes or improvements that might resolve the issue.
  • Clear the cache: If the issue persists, try clearing the cache on the report server to see if that resolves the problem.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry
