Machine Learning Services and Power BI Report Server

My department is using Power BI Report Server (on-premise) and is now introducing Microsoft's Machine Learning Services. I'm fuzzy on the most effective way to access MLS datasets or the Python/R model?

  • Do we connect to the SQL table containing the dataset?
  • Or, use the R/Python visuals to call the model stored procedure?

Hi @rubyknite ,

I'm afraid this is not supported in Power BI Report Server.

First, Machine Learning is Azure Machine Learning. I don't think it will work on on-premises PBIRS.

Reference: Azure Machine Learning integration in Power BI

Then, Python script is not supported in PBIRS and R script is not supported to refresh in PBIRS.
