Live connection analysis services sqldumper

 I am using power bi report server desktop and a live connection to an on prem analysis services cube. As soon as I use a specific dimension, a cmd window pops up: sqldumper.exe, and the whole thing hangs. The cube has no issues at all when accessing it from excel or reporting services. No clue how to fix this, but it gives me the impression power bi is very unstable.

 

I am using power bi report server Version 1.1.6514.9163 (October 2017), together with desktop version Version: 2.51.4885.2501 64-bit (oktober 2017).

 

I get the same error when doing the same with desktop Version: 2.54.4970.961 64-bit (januari 2018)

    Hi jvandyck,

     

    Please check if you are able to visualize data via other dimensions. If issue only occurs with this specific dimension, check if any different settings between this specific dimension and other dimensions.
