Importing Data from Live query for App insights

Hi,

 

I wanted to know if the following functionality to import data from Azure App Insights API would be supported in Reporitng server

Also in the following post

Live query is not supported under JSON does that mean that getting data from App Insights API is not supported in Report server?

 

Wanted a confirmation from someone having knowledge on this.

    Hi pratiksharma,

     

    Per my understanding, it looks like that Live query from Azure App Insights API is not available. As you said, JSON doesn't support live/direct query.

     

    mgmeyerriccardomuti Could you please confirm whether Live connection to App Insights API is supported?

      Power BI (across Desktop, cloud service, and Report Server) supports DirectQuery over a specific set of data sources -- so far, mostly relational and multidimensional databases/data warehouses (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, SAP BW, SAP HANA, Teradata). For the broader set of data sources (including JSON and Web), though, you can still import data into Power BI Desktop and the report you create will work in the cloud service or in Report Server, querying the data you imported.
