Hey all,
IE 11 is still crashing when loading power bi report server reports. Not having this issue on Chrome. Unfortunately, it's not an option to force users to use Chrome.
IE Version is 11.2879.14393.0
The error: Internet Explorer has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Please close the program.
Issue is intermittent, but consistent. Clearing cache, reloading, icognito mode, etc. do not resolve the issue.
I am using the January version (both client and server). Any ideas on how to fix this?
Thanks,
-Mark

Will try and repro. Is this an RDL report or a PBIX report?
PBIX.
I do have "Install New Versions Automatically" selected. It looks like the version we are on is from the March 12 update: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/4489873/cumulative-security-update-for-internet-explorer-ma...
Still seeing this issue. Reports with fewer elements are loading ok. This particular report loads fine in Chrome.
Any help? Anyone seen this behavior before?
We also see this, but only in 32-bit windows 7 version of IE.. Not 64-bit windows 7.
Only heavier reports, and almost always when supposed to slice a report.
Also having excel as a component in the report...
We are on 64 bit Windows 10, and unfortunately still seeing the issue. I was hoping the May Report Server upgrade might fix the issue but no luck

Wonderful, the patch (IE: 11.3024.14393.0) seems to have fixed the issue. Thank you for your help!
Hi @Anonymous ,
Have you updated IE browser to the latest release?
Regards,
Yuliana Gu
What type of report and what type of items does the report have that is causing IE to crash?
14 line charts and around 40 text boxes. Only one tab. No scheduled refreshes, data is sourced from excel book and the report is manually refreshed ~once a month. Page size is 1670 x 720.
Has anyone else noticed this issue? I've noticed this with more than just my one report.
