I cannot connect sharepoint Data source in power bi report server on premises

I created a report that connects to Sharepoint, I can refresh it in the Power BI desktop normally, but when I try to configure the data source an error appears.   I've tried several ways and ...

Hi  Fernandostn ,

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum. 

 

Since you can refresh in Power BI Desktop but not in Report Server, it looks like an authentication issue between Report Server and SharePoint. A few things you can try:


In Report Server, Windows Authentication often fails for SharePoint Online. Try changing it to OAuth2 or Basic Authentication instead.

Make sure the account running the Power BI Report Server service has access to the SharePoint site.

Double-check the SharePoint URL (it should be the site or document library root, not just a file link).

    Hi v-menakakota ,

     

    OAuth2 or Basic option does not appear for me in Power BI on premises

     

    I granted permission to the Power BI service account in SharePoint, but it still didn't work.
