How to use uploaded Excel sheets in a report on the server?

Hi,

I am using the PB Report Server. Normally I build my reports on my desktop in the PBRS Desktop App. After finishing I upload the report via the web interface to the server. But now I used a Excel sheet in the report, which lays on my local Desktop in the report. How can I use this sheet on the server too?

I thought, if I am uploading this sheet to the report server via the web interface that I then could change the file path within the report to the uploaded sheet but there is no way to change those paths. Any tips?

Thanks a lot.

Hi @Anonymous ,

If a File or Folder data source is used and the file path is a local path (e.g. C:\Users\user\Documents), then a refresh plan cannot be created. The path must be a path the report server can connect to like a network share. For example, \myshare\Documents.

You can share files in File Explorer on Windows 10 like so:
