How to force report server to load local embedded custom visual in report?

According to https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/custom-visuals-troubleshoot there's no way to do this, which I find absurd in a enterprise environment force clients to wait upwards of 20 seconds, to load a visual which in before hand is known to be embedded in the report and could be loaded immediately, as happens if edit the report in Power Bi Desktop.

If there seriously is no workaround to this, it needs to be added into PBIRS ASAP.

  • PBIRS cannot be forced to load an embedded custom visual locally. In Report Server, custom visuals are handled differently than Desktop and they’re not guaranteed to load instantly from the PBIX payload, so you see the delay. There’s no supported switch/setting to change that behavior today.

      Submited idea: https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Fabric-Ideas/Workaround-to-force-PBIRS-to-load-embedded-custom-visuals-in/idi-p/4909927

      Spoiler
Unsurprisingly once again is sad to see Microsoft reach such absurd state where the support article basically aknowledges this unsolvable problem for at least almost a year, as the support article was last updated on 11/01/2025, and just expects users to deal with it:
"you might still encounter a delay of 20 to 30 seconds before the visual loads in Power BI Desktop for Power BI Report Server. You encounter this delay because Power BI Desktop for Power BI Report Server tries to fetch the updated copy of the visual from the internet. After a period of retrying and failing to connect to the internet, it displays the local copy of the custom visual."
