Help: Paginated Report embed PowerBI has freeze issue when fetching data
Hi everyone,
I use paginated as a tool to extract csv and use power bi as interface and filters. During the process of fetching data I often encounter freezing like in the article below:

When using 1 user to fetch data, I can get more than 2 million easily.
Even though my capacity is set to high performance at P4 Premium, I still encounter the above situation when 2-3 users are active at the same time and the amount of data frozen when reaching the 1.6 million data mark.
I don't know how to handle this issue at the moment, please give me advice to improve.

Thanks for the info! Based on your description, it is true that when multiple users load more than a million rows of data at the same time, the consumption of CUs increases significantly, resulting in a freeze issue when fetching data.

1.Apply query parameters in paginated reports to ensure that only the necessary data is queried before it is rendered, which can reduce unnecessary burden.

2. Try to coordinate multiple users to access a large amount of data at the same time to avoid excessive consumption of CUs.

3.Consider using a data warehouse, lakehouse, or other tool to store data in a semantic model. Paginated reports can read data from the semantic model, which takes advantage of the fast data reading capabilities inside the Power BI service.

Try limiting the number of rows per page in a paginated report to reduce the amount of data per load and improve responsiveness.

Power BI paginated reports are essentially the same as ssrs, and children are paginated reports. The optimization approach to ssrs is basically applicable to Power BI paginated reports.
