Google Sheets Connector doesnt refresh when published

I use PBI Report Server, I created a report in my desktop and can connect to google sheets with the appropiate credentials and works just fine, refreshing and everything. Google sheets is the only source used for the report. The problem comes when I upload the report to the server as it stops refreshing, it just shows the data available at the time of publishing, never to be refreshed again, and there is no option to set a scheduled refresh or modify the connection source (they are greyed out).

What is the point of having a google connector when it only works in desktop mode (for report server at least)?

    Hi odonnelljuan ,

As you've observed, while you can connect to Google Sheets from Power BI Desktop and refresh data within the desktop environment, the behavior changes once the report is published to Power BI Report Server. This discrepancy arises because, currently, Google Sheets is not listed as a supported data source for Power BI Report Server. Consequently, direct refresh capabilities and scheduled refresh options for Google Sheets data are not available in the server environment.

Thanks for the details, I understand that, thats why my question was what is the point of such a (not) feature.  I understand that in PBI Service (cloud) it does work, at least with scheduling.
