Hello,
Am I missing something. I think Field Paramaters was released in May 22 for PBI Desktop. Isnt it supposed to be released in Sep-22 for the Report Server? I checked the Sep-22 release and I believe its not out. Any idea why but most importantly when will it be released?
Is there an alternative to Field Parameters on Report Server if there is not information yet?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Field Parameters have technically not been fully released yet. They are still a preview feature this feature and Preview Features are not enabled in Report Server. Once this feature has been fully released I would hope we would see it enabled in Report Server.
Hi @Anonymous ,
As @d_gosbell said, this feature has not been released in the latest version of report
server.
But refer to the following blog, you can implement similar function by the following technical solution.
If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Henry

Field Parameter in ReportServer Edition is still not availble. Right?
It is now 2024
I still can't find field parameters in report server PBI
Where are they?
I looked at the work around and it is pants compared to real field parameters
If the missing feature is just some other nasty marketing trick to con people to rent cloud pbi, then we will for sure we wont be taken in by it.
Hi,
Has anyone encounter or tried using field parameter feature in PBIRS with latest (Version: 1.17.8546.6252(build 15.0.1112.41), Released: May 26, 2023) updates. Does the field parameter dynamically change using multiple calculated measures or field categories in PBIRS. As prior to recent updates, the field parameter feature only worked in desktop and cloud workspace. Let us know if this fearture is available in latest updates and how it is going.
Thanks.
@raziPBIus its the same as the answer I supplied above. Field Parameters are still a preview feature and preview features are never added to Report Server. Hopefully once the feature comes out of preview the team will consider porting it to Report Server.
Hello. When will it be released for PBIRS? Regards
same answer as above

The problem still persist, I have latest version PBIRS installed as of Version1.16.8420.13742(January 2023). The field parameters works perfectly fine in PBI desktop and PBI (app/workspace). But when publishing into PBIRS, the visuals and measures get stalls on that page, it doesn't run query to change field parameter selection, by default it only display the first selection of parameter slicer. Other dimensional slicers works ok, yet only keeping first parameter (x and y axis) as is.
Kindly help if any alternate method is available to change axis dynamically for multiple fields.
