Fails to publish large report

Hello. I hope this is the correct forum. I have a quite large pbix report (The data refresh said 19GB from ASQL; the pbix file size is 1.6GB). When I try to publish it, I get an error "The underlying connection was closed. A connection that was expected to be kept alive was closed by the server". Is the server just refusing such a large report? Once I get the base report up there, I can use incremental refresh. But I need to publish a structural change. Thanks!

...also the error doesn't occur right away. So I wonder if it is a server traffic/connection stability issue?

  • Hi Anonymous ,

According to your description, the maximum data model in the Analysis Services engine supported by the report server is 2GB, and an error message will appear if you load more than this limit. You can connect to this as instance via LC mode.

Also for report server, he does not support incremental refresh.

    refer to below solution:

Incremental Refresh in Report Server - Microsoft Power BI Community

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.
