Export Underlying data is not working as expected, it just returns one row with all measures

Export Underlying data, doesn't return all underlying data, Instead, it returns one row with all the measures (even if they're not part of the visual).

Meanwhile, "Export Summarized data" is working as expected and is returning multiple rows.

Yeah this seems to have just started happening.  Hopefully they can fix the issue soon!

Couple questions:

1. Which version of PBIRS do you have installed?

2. Does this happen for all visuals on the report?

3. Are you seeing this behaviour on all reports or just one?

Matt M.

Hi @mgmeyer

Have there been any update on this?  Our users are really needing to export underlying data from their visuals again.

In response to your questions:

  1. Its the online web service (as the reporter mentioned)
  2. Occurs on all visuals of the report
  3. Occurs on all reports on all workspaces we have

This has not always been the way this functionality has worked. It only started a couple months ago.

Hi, Actually it's on Power Bi Web service, I'll switch the question to Service fourm.

But to answer your questions, it happens on all visuals.
Till now, I can repro only on reports that reads from Analysis Service.
