Excel file usage not showing in ExecutionLog3?

We have several Excel files that were uploaded directly to PBIRS. We aren't seeing these users accessing the files in ExecutionLog3, but we are pretty sure people are accessing them. 
1) Is it expected that we wouldn't see them in ExecutionLog3? 
2) Are there logs in OOS that would show users accessing them there?

I got an answer in another channel. Excel files will show up with Format = EXCEL
