We can't seem to remove favorite reports (once they have been added). The following message is displayed when clicking the star icon:
Even system administrators are getting the same error. We've looked in SSMS at the report server roles but there doesn't appear to be any functionality around favorites. Is this a product issue?

Can you provide screenshot information such as Windows error logs and report server logs for me to do further troubleshooting.

Thanks for responding. I checked the windows error logs but there doesn't appear to be anything that correlates to the error or the time I tested.
I triggered the issue at 8:30PM, here is a screengrab from the report server trace log as per that link, nothing appeared at that time:

We have reporting services installed on the same server alongside PBIRS - is that the right link you've shared isn't that for SSRS?
FYI I looked in the Power BI Report Server install directory and found RSPortal logs. I don't see any errors but maybe the below has something of benefit (account names changed to USERNAME):
