New-OfficeWebAppsFarm : The operation failed. The server did not meet the following prerequisites:
- Microsoft Office is installed on this machine. Please remove it.
At line:1 char:1
+ New-OfficeWebAppsFarm -InternalURL "http://dev-myserver01/OOS" -AllowHttp
+ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
+ CategoryInfo : NotInstalled: (:) [New-OfficeWebAppsFarm], InvalidOperationException

Hi @sevenhills,

It requires server to be Windows Server 2012 R2 or Windows Server 2016. What's your Windows server version?

Form the error message, it indicates the server has Office installed. Please double check it.

As you mention the error occurs when you follow that article, which step you perform has this issue occur?

Best Regards,

I am installing it, on Windows Server 2012 R2 and I dont have office installed.

I  am following the steps as per this link

https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/reportserver-excel-oos/#prepare-server-to-run-offi...

Getting error at the stage: "Create the Office Online Server farm (HTTPS)" or "Create the Office Online Server farm (HTTP)"

i.e., when executing this command

New-OfficeWebAppsFarm -InternalUrl "https://dev-PBIRS100.<mycompany>.com" -ExternalUrl "https://dev-PBIRS100.<mycompany>.com" -CertificateName "OfficeWebApps Certificate"

New-OfficeWebAppsFarm -InternalURL "https://dev-PBIRS100" -AllowHttp

Thanks

After long back and forth of installing and reinstalling, finally was able to install successfully

FYI , Now I have installed both PBIRS Power BI desktop (Aug 2017) version and the latest Oct 2017 release.

Thanks
