Embedding the reports

Hi Team,

I am trying to embed the reports the in my iframe and while embedding the url and diverting there.

It seeks for authentication. How to get ride of auth in the embeded url functionality. Can we pass any parameters in url?

At the same time we dont want to make the reports public. So we need authentication but same creds which are used for application login should be used by power bi reports.

Hi @Roche ,

For embedded reports, access to the report requires authentication whether the user opens a report URL directly or a URL embedded in a web portal. If the user is not signed into Power BI during their browser session, the following screen will appear. When they choose to sign in, a new browser window or tab may open. If they do not get a prompt to sign in, have them check the pop-up blocker.

Each page of the report has its own unique URL, and the purpose of the parameter is to add query string parameters to the URL to pre-filter the report instead of authenticating.

For more details, you can read below document:

Embed a report in a secure portal or website - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Filter a report using query string parameters in the URL - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry
