Email subscription screenshots with RLS applied

Hello, 

 

I have a report that shows aggregated data for multiple companies. I would like to send a daily email to a contact in each one of the companies that contains a screenshot of the report, filtered to the data for that company.

 

I have published the report to the power bi service, set up a subscription and applied RLS in the report to ensure data is filtered to the relevent company when the subscribed user clicks on the link in the email. This all works as expected, however the screenshot does not show filtered data based on the user, rather it shows the aggregation of the entire dataset.

 

Is it possible to show a filtered view in the email screenshot? Or have I missed something when setting up the subscription and RLS?

You mean that the user can see the data don't belong to him in the email subscription screenshot?

And in the service, does RLS work?

That's correct. User can see data that does not belong to him and RLS does work correctly in the service.

Can you share the screenshot of the email subscription and a different comparison chart in the service(Just for comparison and erase privacy)? If it is true, I may need to report this issue.

Any news about this issue?. In fact RLS works fine, even if the subscription is managed by an administrator (not the subscriber). The problem is with the screenshot included in the email.... it seems that the screenshot is "taken" before aplying RLS so when email is sent, every user receive the same sceenshot independently of their assigned security level. If they access the report through the provided link in the email, RLS works as expected.

In my case I have a report that should be filtered by vendor (unique selection) so it is a problem if every vendor receives the same screenshot because they will be viewing information of other vendor in the screenshot

Thanks for the response @Fowmy. I have seen this thread however it doesn't address the issue of the screenshot not showing the correct filtered data.
