Edit in Power BI Desktop giving error

Dear All,   We had deployed reports in On-Prem Power BI Report Server however when we try to Edit the report by clicking on Edit in Power BI Desktop button, we are getting "Unexpected error encount...

    Hello Anonymous  and lbendlin ,

     

    Thanks a lot for your workaround and suggestions. Here is the thing which worked for me.

    Add Power BI Server url (format: xyz.com without https) and its credentials in the windows credentials manager of your local machine where you wanted to open the report in edit mode.

     

     

    Just make sure windows credentials are not disabled in your machine. This worked for me.
