Direct query on Hbase

Hi folks,

I have a customer engagement where realtime (direct) query capability is required to an Hdinsight Hbase cluster. I know that there are some odbc adapters such as Simba , Cdata but these do not support direct query. Is there any other way to make this happen thru Spark, Jdbc or any other way? I did some research but could not find enough clarification on this topic.
