Direct query from SQL Server Database does not work in Power BI Server

Hi,

I created a report in the September 2017 release of PowerBI using a direct query data connection from a SQL Server Database table. When I upload the .pbix file into the Report Server, I get this general error when the data is loading:

I am not sure what the issue is. When I upload data from the same table using import, it works fine. Can someone please help?

Direct query connections do not yet work on PowerBI Report Server. You'll have to import your data first then upload, or offload to analysis services server for the moment. Stay tuned for an upcoming release which supports DQ data sources.
