Developer Edition for Test environment.

Can Power BI Report Server run on SQL Server 2016 Standard Edtion?

    Hi pbiwork,

     

    This is information I got internally: 

     

    1. PBIRS is only available as part of Enterprise Edition of SQL Server with SA , so you can’t use a SQL Standard license

    2. For Dev machines you can use the DEV SKU (no requires key but is not supported for production) , for installing in multiple environments applies the same limitations that you have for SQL Server , it will depend on how many cores the customer has the right to use.
