Good morning community,
I have created a Dataset and when I'm update this while using the Desktop version it takes 1 or 2 minutes.
Now I have set online that the dataset is updated four times a day. But the update will take 30 minutes.
Do you have an idea what this might be due to? All data needed for the dataset is drawn via API.
It doesn't matter at what time of day this happens.
Thanks for your comments
Leif
@Leif123456 - Is the data on-premises or in the cloud?
Im not sure what you mean. The data were PowerBi is pulling them is Cloud with a API or Web connection.
What I do not understand is, why it takes 1 Minute when I'm refreshing the data with the desktop verison compared a refresh with the automatic frequent update in the web.
Brgds

@Leif123456 , well, why I was asking about cloud versus on-prem to see if maybe the dely was your desktop being local to the network and the Service having to make a round trip. It's hard to say really about the Service sometimes. It is shared capacity unless you are on Premium so could be a noisy neighbor. How complex is this query, can you share the code?
