I've had a PowerBI connection with a server at a client's site. Now, this server has been phased out (read: died), and we want to rebuild the connection from the new server. As far as I can tell, we are working with a data source:
These selected items need to be adjusted to the new gateway and a new KMG-DB name.
Now, I need to link the new data source to the PowerBI dashboard being created, and I'm having trouble with that. I can't select the new gateway because the data source there doesn't match (it should be KMG-DB02 instead of KMG-DB01).
Do you know if this can be done easily?
Thanks,
Glo
Create a matching data source on the new gateway?
Could you explain in steps how to create a matching data source on the new gateway?
The correct option is to know the details and enter them manually. The lazy option is to click the "incorrectly configured" link next to the new gateway.
Hi @lbendlin , is there a different way to resolve the issue without creating a new data source?
Thanks!
