Hi
I would like to use Scheduled Refresh for a PBI dashboard in Power BI Report Server. When I created my Scheduled Refresh and waited for it to be run, it didn't. I checked what's wrong and it seems that my Data Source connexion is invalid. I am using a localhost SQL Server hence I tried both normal authentication (with no login or password) and Windows Authentication but both give me an error message that my ID and pwd are wrong.
Any idea how to solve this issue? My connexion is perfectly working under SQL Server Management Studio, RS Configuration Manager and PBI, my SQL agent is also set.
Below is a screenshot of SSMS and Data source screen on PBIRS:

You need to enter a password into the credential settings for the data source in order to run a scheduled refresh. This is because the server is normally running on a separate machine and it needs to be able to trigger the refresh when nobody is logged in to that machine.
So the normal practice is to get IT to setup a "service account" with a non-expiring password which you can use for this purpose so that the scheduled refresh does not break when you change the password for your user account.
