You will need to change the "Position" property of the chart from "Auto" to "Top". Watch this video for details on how to - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IDUNPyhaYwI

Hi @M_nwadibia ,

To get data labels to display outside the bars in SQL Server Reporting Services, you can use the "Label Position" property for the data labels. This property allows you to specify where the data labels should be positioned relative to the data points on the chart.

To set the position of the data labels for a bar chart, follow these steps:

  • 1 Open your report in SQL Server Reporting Services and select the bar chart that you want to modify.
  • 2 In the Properties window, scroll down to the "Label Position" property and expand it.
  • 3 In the "Label Position" property, select "Outside End" from the drop-down list. This will position the data labels outside the bars, at the end of each bar.
  • 4 If you want to position the data labels inside the bars instead, select "Inside Base" from the drop-down list. This will position the data labels inside the bars, at the base of each bar.
  • 5 Once you've selected the desired position for the data labels, save your report and preview it to see the changes

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry
