Creating a Model by connecting to Fabric Lakehouse

Can anyone tell me how I can connect Tabular Editor to the Fabric Lakehouse to create a new Model? Is this even possible? I dont want to do it in the service I want to keep it a a separate file.

This is not currently possible with a model in DirectLake mode, but support for the XMLA endpoint in this mode is coming. I would expect there will be a public announcement when this is enabled.
