HI,

We are using Power BI dashboards, and they work fine on both Desktop and the Power BI Service. However, once embedded in our application, we are receiving the error shown in the attached snapshot. Please note, our older dashboards are still working fine—this issue occurs only with the newly created dashboards

Hi @Anonymous

Please go through the following steps and let us know if the issue still persists

  • Make sure your embedding account/service principal has permission to both the report and underlying dataset in the workspace.
  • If the new dashboards use Row-Level Security, double-check the setup. RLS or missing roles can cause loading to fail when embedded.
  • Try publishing the report again, sometimes the first publish doesn’t set all the embed settings right.
  • Check dataset storage mode, is it DirectQuery, Import, or something else. Gateway or cloud credentials might need adjustment.
  • Review capacity limits if you’re using Premium large models or too many users can cause 503 errors.
