Hi
In Power BI Pro, I have a set of different reports which have the exact same dataset since I developed them all in the same file then divided it.
Since this division gave me 8 reports, it doesn't make sense to have 8 same dataset that take time to refresh using gateway.
Instead, i want that all my 8 reports to share the same dataset in Power BI , which I couldn't do for the time being.
Below is a lineage view of my reports (sample) and what I want to do.
Any clue? My reports are up and ready already
Just curious, Did you try changing the data source in the PBI reports ?
File > Options and Settings > Data source settings
Or
Home tab > Queries pane > Transform Data > Data source settings > Data sources in current file > Change Source.
Tip: Take a backup before you tryout!
You can achieve the desired outcome by using a shared dataset in Power BI. A shared dataset is a single, centralized dataset that can be used by multiple reports within the same workspace. This eliminates the need for each report to have its own separate dataset, reducing the load on the data gateway and speeding up the data refresh times.
