Hello,
I have a file size limit in our email configuration and my file keep growing.
Is there an option to compress large excel files in Report Server or RDL so that emailing can be easier using RDL authoring tool?
The report in question has about 9 columns only but has over 400k records and size 25MB. The mailing limit is 22MB.
Thank You

The Excel files should already have compression applied. I do not believe there are any settings to increase the amount of compression. You might need to look at using a different transport mechanism such as putting the files in a file share.
I have resolved this. I embedded this as a link in sharepoint and shared the link with Users. It runs well now.
I think MS should consider including Zip Option as export option when doing subscription in report server

The xlsx format is already zipped internally. Zipping it again will not make any significant difference
I understand we can use Python to convert the .xlsx to xlsb or PowerShell Programs before using standard subscription to distribute report. Is this possible?

I tried file share but the report fails to render. Everyother report less than 22MB executes except this one above 22mB which exceeds the outlook set limit.
