Composite Model in Desktop Report Server

Hi,

I have a report wherein I need to use both live SQL and Excel connection. As soon as I add Excel connection I am prompted to switch the data access mode to import. I know composite model was added recently in Power BI cloud. Is there an option to achieve this in Report Server desktop version.

No not yet. It's under consideration for an upcoming release. Please do upvote the idea on PowerBI user voice!

This has come out in NOV 2018 for PBI service.

 For report server we anticipated in Jan 2019 or May 2019 releases, but no luck for us.

Any one has better update?

I installed the On-Premises (May 2019) and I can't see that in the option/settings.
