Unfortunately, if you sent the actual file via email, you cannot delete it remotely. If it was sent to the wrong person, you may need to request them to delete it manually.

Hi @Husainsaud

If you have mistakenly shared a Power BI file via email, you cannot directly delete the file from the recipient’s inbox, but you can take steps to prevent access if it was shared through a cloud service. If the file was attached directly to the email, the recipient will have a copy, and the only option is to request them to delete it. However, if you shared a link to a Power BI report hosted on Power BI Service (e.g., via OneDrive, SharePoint, or a shared workspace), you can revoke access by going to Power BI Service → Workspaces → Manage Permissions and removing the recipient’s access. If the file was shared via OneDrive or SharePoint, navigate to the file’s location, check its sharing settings, and remove external access. If the file contains sensitive data, you can also consider updating or deleting the dataset or report to ensure it is no longer accessible.

Thank you lbendlin and ArwaAdoudOmer

Hi, @Husainsaud

If you're using an Outlook mailbox, you can recall your messages by following these steps:

Recall an Outlook email message - Microsoft Support

vjianpengmsft_1-1739930112888.png

If you mistakenly share it with someone else through the sharing feature in Power BI service, you can remove their read access in Power BI service.

Share Power BI reports and dashboards with coworkers and others - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

Hi @Anonymous

In Microsoft Outlook, the recall feature works only under these conditions:

The recipient is in the same Microsoft Exchange or Microsoft 365 organization
- The email is unread
- The recall is attempted within 120 minutes (2 hours) of sending (default policy, but IT admins can adjust this)

After this time, or if the recipient has already opened the email, recall will not work, and the attachment cannot be deleted.

Hi, @Husainsaud

If it is not possible to undo it, I think the best way is to communicate with the recipient of the email and ask him to delete the corresponding content to ensure that the data is not leaked.
