Hi @DaTechJunkie,

Please create a report use Power BI desktop version optimized for report server rather than normal desktop then deploy to the report server.

The latest version is Microsoft Power BI Desktop (Optimized for Power BI Report Server - October 2017) 2.51.4885.1423. You can download this kind of desktop and publish report from this desktop.

@DaTechJunkie , @v-qiuyu-msft and @Seth_C_Bauer

We are having same issue and We can not use Microsoft Power BI Desktop (Optimized for Power BI Report Server - October 2017) 2.51.4885.1423 because we need Windows 10 for it but we are using still Windows 7. I would like to know if there is any other way of resolving this issue with Desktop version Nov 2017 or Dec 2017 or Jan 2017.

@vickyprudhvi Are you trying to deploy to PBIRS? The base requirement for OS is Win 8... A newer version of the Desktop won't help you with PBIRS. You have to use the version of the Desktop that aligns with the PBIRS.

@Seth_C_Bauer

Yes I am talking about PBIRS(Oct version) the PowerBI Desktop for PBIRS can be used only using Windows 8 or 10 but in our company we are still using Windows 7 that why we thought we can go with PowerBI Desktop Jan version but we are facing issue
