Can not see the Report Server Web Portal

Hi,

I've already installed SQL Server 2017, SQL Server Analysis Services, Power BI Desktop (report server edition) and Power BI Report Server.exe to my new server. When I try to reach the web portal below, I reached the page of SQL Server Reporting Services instead of Power BI Report Server. What else do I have to do to see the Power BI Report Server web portal?

http://servername/Reports

Hi @gesgin,

Yes you are right, you need to go to the PBIRS report.

1. Connect to PBIRS Report Server.

2. Go to Web Service URL > Chagne the URLName as per your need > Click Apply

3. Go to Report Manager URL > Chagne the URLName as per your need > Click Apply.

4. Configure the Database

Then you should be done with the configurations.

Or You can follow the steps here as per below link

@gesgin, you can configure the Power BI report server with different web Server URL and Web Service URL then SQL Report Servide URL, by doing that you will not have any clash between the URL's.

Power BI report Server configurations has same steps as the SQL Reporting Services.

Thank you for your reply @Anonymous

But the problem is that I don't know how to make that configuration.

First of all, when I try to connect to the configuration manager, 2 different options to connect appear in popup (SSRS and PBIRS)

I think I have to choose the PBIRS option, right?

After that, could you tell me how I can seperately configured the URL's for both SSRS and PBIRS?

I've uninstalled SSRS from the machine and created another db for PBIRS, then the problem is solved.

Thank you.

@gesgin, you could have both, I have 2 different report servers installed in the same Server, and it's is working fine as expected.

Anyways you are sorted, so cheers.

PowerBI report server has the same portal as SQL Reporting Sevices, so if you only installed PBI Report Server you have it correct. If you have Reporting Services installed on the same machine, you will need to use the configuration tool for PBI Report Server to set the URL reservations correctly.
