Can Custom Connectors be used with Power BI Report Server?

Hi,

Can custom data connectors be used with the Power BI Report Server? It is not clear to me from the release notes or documentation.

If so, are there differences compared to developing a custom connector for the Desktop version and could someone please point me towards any documentation for implementing a custom connector for the Report Server version specifically?

If not, is this feature being considered and when is it likely to be released?

I want to connect to a Denodo data source from Power BI Report server.  This appears to be supported via desktop but my Power BI admin is telling me custom connectors are not supported via Power BI report server.  Does anyone know how we can enable access to a Denodo data source from Power BI report server.

In Power BI report server, for Power BI reports, custom connector is not supported. All supported data sources are listed here: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-bi/report-server/data-sources

Only lately, custom connectors were officially supported in Personal Gateway and On Premise gateway for Power BI Service.
