I used the COALESCE function which was working fine on Power BI Desktop (Personal), but was not recognized in the Report Server version. Is this a bug? Thanks.

Probably not, Report Server Desktop version lags the usual Desktop version, sometimes by 3 or 4 months. So, since the COALESCE function is so new, RS version simply does not have it yet.
