I am experiencing an issue in Power BI Report Builder with a report composed of group rows and a subreport named “packing list” at the bottom. To print the subreport on a new page, I have set a page break at the end of the group row above it. The subreport’s visibility is controlled by a specific parameter value (Parameters!non_packing.Value), hiding the subreport when the parameter value is 0.
When the subreport is hidden and the main report spans only one page, a blank page is added. However, this issue does not occur if the main report spans more than two pages. Additionally, if I hide the subreport without using the parameter value, no blank pages appear. This suggests there might be an issue with the handling of page breaks and visibility settings based on parameter values. Please assist in resolving this issue.
Hi Carson Jian,
Thank you once again for your suggested solutions. I have reviewed the points you mentioned, but the issue still persists.
Given these conditions, the blank page issue remains unresolved. I would appreciate any further advice or solutions you might have.
Hi,@choime .I am glad to help you.
The general cause of blank pages is related to the layout settings of the report, although the sub-report has been hidden by the parameter, but you mentioned that you set the paginated reports, which may cause the report to unexpectedly appear blank pages after printing.
Your current problem is that when the actual content is just about ready to be displayed on the same page of the paginated reports, there is still content that cannot be displayed properly, so this part is displayed on the next page, but in the actual printing process, this part is displayed as blank, so there is a blank page. When the content of the main table is displayed as two pages, the size of the two pages is just enough to display all the contents of the paginated reports, so the normal display of reports.
You may need to double check the layout settings, hopefully the link below will help:
