Being Asked For License Key During Power BI Report Server Upgrade
Running the file PowerBIReportServer.exe on the VM hosting our on-prem Power BI Report Server does not give us the option to Upgrade. It only gives us the option to Install and then asks for a licens...
I think you might need to raise an official support ticket with Microsoft for this. I've been using PBIRS since 2017 at my work and I've upgraded our dev, test & prod environments for most of the releases and I've never seen this happen. I thought I saw someone asking about this a few months ago, but I cannot find that post now.
Thank you so much. We were considering that. There may be issues in how the report server was originally set up.
