Hi,
I’m using Power BI Report Server (on-prem) and ArcGIS for Power BI shows the message:
“This map does not meet the requirements for Power BI Report Server.”
I understand ArcGIS is not supported on Report Server.
Is there any recommended alternative or workaround for map visuals in an on-prem environment?
Thanks.

Thank you for checking in.
This has been clarified and resolved.
ArcGIS for Power BI is not supported on Power BI Report Server, and we’ll proceed with supported on-prem alternatives (e.g., Shape Map / built-in maps).
Appreciate the support.

ArcGIS for Power BI is not supported on Power BI Report Server, and there’s no workaround to make that specific visual work on-prem. These are supported on Report Server:
Bubble maps (latitude/longitude)
Filled maps (country/state/region)
Bing Maps geocoding (limited but works)
You load a TopoJSON file (custom boundaries)
Bind it to a column in your model
Fully offline / on-prem compatible
Thank you for the clear and helpful explanation.
Much appreciated — this confirms the right direction for an on-prem solution.
