When trying to view reports uploaded to an instance of Power BI Report Server that previously opened without error in the Sept 2022 release of Power Bi Desktop, receive the following error:
We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server. Make sure you've entered the connection string correctly.:

Service version: /powerbi/libs
There is no connection string explicitly called out in the report; we are using Windows credentials. Any ideas what's going on here?

Hi @lnicho ,
Please try if recreated the query using same login and using directquery type worked.
For the original post, you may refer to Solved: Re: We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services s... - Microsoft Power BI Community
Also ,as a workaround you may pass this error by changing manually the datasource of this report in the Report Server (report->Manage->Datasource...)

recreating the report using the same login and directquery results in the same error as shown in the original post. When I use report->Manage->Datasource and set the authentication to Windows Authentication->As the user viewing the report (which is what we use throughout our organization), the connection tests successfully, but I still get the same error "We couldn't connect to the Analysis Services server..." as in the original post.
