An error occurred while processing the data in the semantic model.

Hi, I need some assistance I have about five reports that are constantly failing refreshes over the weekend and before and after work. Basically I barely see fails during work hours. Each report has about 15,647KB to a small report having 266KB but they are all failing constantly. I am connected to the SQL server where I am retieving this data. I have refreshes set every 2 hours starting from 6am to 6pm. I need to fix this problem your assistance is appreciated. Also want to let you know that I have checked the gateway and my connections are good.

Hi, @Brjt1

Because scheduled refresh is also automatically disabled after four consecutive errors or two months of inactivity for the corresponding report for this dataset, your dataset refresh is disabled. As mentioned in the official documentation:

Configure scheduled refresh - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

vjianpengmsft_0-1733190183123.png

You mentioned that you are working fine Monday through Friday. Saturday and Sunday failed. Your refresh failure should review the error message below your screenshot and configure it as instructed. It is not limited to the following questions:
1. The gateway goes offline on weekends, resulting in the inability to reach the data source during refresh. For example: A local data source is used, and then the computer shuts down over the weekend
2. Your credentials are invalid, resulting in an access error.
3. Your inquiry question.

You can view the full error message in the refresh history:
