Thanks,
I have multiple dashboards, and I wanted users to be able to log out and log in to another dashboard. I always prefer to use URLs with an extension of ?rs:embed=true for the entire screen, so I have different links bookmarked, not accessed directly from the portals folder.
But the good news is I finally resolved this by creating a webpage with multiple links for each dashboard/report, and the user can now do what you are saying.
Why do you require a logout option. Because the default authentication does not require a login having a logout makes no sense since the user just has to open a new browser tab
