Hi,
In report server, we have a number of scheduled dataset refreshes however there is a requirement at times for end users to complete an adhoc data refresh. Is this possible?
Thanks,

I think if the users have Content Manager rights they can go into the scheduled refresh and click "Run Now", but that gives them a lot of other rights which you might not want them to have. You can also create a custom role which just has the Manage All Subscriptions permission and then assign that to specific users for a given folder or report.

Hi @d_gosbell,
Unfortunately, it seems as though "Manage All Subscriptions" does not provide enough permissions to refresh datasets.
No you are correct. It looks like you also need to add "Manage Reports" in order to get the "Manage" option to appear when you click on the "..." menu for a report. Which unfortunately also gives the user permissions to delete that report - which is not ideal.

Hi, I have the same issue were wo end users want to refresh data manually.
They have admin rights on the work space and are added to the Cloud data connection as owners.
But they get this "fun" error, even though it's a cloud connection to BC. Any ideas?
