Adding a Power BI Gateway from a foreign local AD. Possible?

Hi there,

Is there a way to connect our M365 Power BI service to a local Power BI gateway hosted in a foreign on-prem AD?

The MSFT documentation is not really clear, it talks about a trusted relationship. Does that mean an AD trust or something like that?

Our goal is that when we create a new local connection, the gateway will show up under "Gatewayclustername". Is this possible or do we need to migrate the gateway from the foreign AD to our AD?

You will need to setup a gateway in your own Power BI tenant.
